這三個(gè)長(zhǎng)得那么像的詞和詞組

究竟是有關(guān)系還是沒關(guān)系呢？

今天就和大家講講line的表達(dá)吧！

on line/on the line

on line主要有兩個(gè)意思。

line有隊(duì)伍的意思

on line =wait in a line of people

意思就是排在隊(duì)伍里

另外，on line有在線、上線的意思

就等于online

大家平時(shí)登陸QQ或游戲的上線

就是用online表示

而on the line就和上網(wǎng)、排隊(duì)沒關(guān)系了

on the line表示處在危險(xiǎn)狀態(tài)、命懸一線

一般是put/lay sth on the line

可以是jobs、career、reputation、friendship等等

也可以用put one"s neck/oneself on the line

表示把...置于危險(xiǎn)的狀態(tài)

除此之外，

on the line還表示打電話、保持通話

這時(shí)候line相當(dāng)于phone

Eg

This shouldn"t take much longer—Mom"s on line to pay right now.

這花不了多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間，媽媽已經(jīng)排在付款的隊(duì)伍里。

拍出這樣一部有爭(zhēng)議的電影，他真是冒著名聲盡毀的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)。

line of latitude/longitude

line可以表示兩個(gè)區(qū)域之間人為假設(shè)的線

就比如經(jīng)線緯線，國際日期變更線這類地理名詞

或是國界線、州界線這類地區(qū)邊線
